Last night Steph and I hit Middlesex Lounge for our first time. What a cool venue!
Boston.CitySearch.Com provides a very good overview of the joint:
"Perhaps Cambridge’s most multi-purpose destination, the Middlesex Lounge provides MIT workers and area residents with a chic lunch spot before transforming into a stylish lounge. Expect the nighttime vibe to depend on who’s spinning (different DJs appear nightly). Because the low seats and tables are on wheels, patrons have the option to create their own space. The welcoming food menu includes offbeat comfort fare like a plate of ten bite-size tacos or a Kobe beef burger. "
I enjoyed the Middlesex Lounge because it seems to be one of Boston’s first venues that resembles lounges in bigger metropolitan locations (think Chicago, New York, London, Paris, Tokyo). A moden interiror with a really chill vibe early on and then, as the crowd lossens up and the DJ cranks it up, a fun place to bump and grind.
