Shubie’s Annual Harvest Wine & Food Festival

Last night Stephanie and I attended Shubie’s Annual Harvest Wine & Food Festival in Marblehead, MA.  It was held on the grounds of the Jeremiah Lee Mansion (note: I searched for links to include for Shubie’s, their Wine & Food Festival, and the J_lee07_2 Lee Mansion-came up with big goose eggs.  Marblehead needs to get on the ball and begin to develop online assets for important places/events).  The tickets were $40/person and all proceeds were donated to the Friends of the Marblehead Public
Schools, and the Marblehead Museum and Historical Society.

The actual event was under a beautiful  and enormous white tent behind the mansion.  The four walls of the tent were lined with wine merchants that afforded one a tasting of their selection.  In the middle of the tent was a yummy spread of cheeses, salami, breads, sausage, grape leaves, etc.  I was particularly fond of the round of Brie with Apple Butter spread across the top.  TASTY!  Unfortunately, Steph and I only made it through one side of the tent before we started feeling the effects of the wine and decided to head back to Boston before we got to hammered.
