Mad props go out to two very dog friendly establishments on Shawmut Ave. in Boston’s South End. Polkadogbakery, located at 256 Shawmut Ave, is probably the best boutique dog shop in the entire city. Its co-founders are the nicest people you could ever meet and they carry a wide selection of dog treats, toys, and clothes. Right across the street is The Dish, a very hip bistro. The establishment’s outdoor seating (which is celebrating its last day tomorrow and will reopen next May) welcomes all pets. They even have a doggy pizza on the menu (ground beef spread across a pita sliced 4 ways) so that your four legged friend can dine right along side of you.
