Montréal Day #1

My buddy Jeff and I arrived in Montréal last night at around 6pm est.  After getting a little lost driving through the city trying to find the W Hotel (fyi: Yahoo! Maps suck!), we eventually found our destination with a little help from the Concierge, who we called in desperation.

We checked into what I would venture to say one of the largest W Hotel rooms I have been in (sans the suites at the W Time Square).  It has two queen size beds and a bathroom that is as large as the sleeping area.  Stay tuned for some photos I plan to upload before this trip is over.

Jeff had to work a little bit before we could head out to eat, so I rented Transporter 2, which was all-in-all an ok flick (definitely not as good as Transporter 1).  Once he finished, we both got cleaned up and went downstairs to eat at OTTO, a very hip restaurant in the W Hotel.  I ordered Steak Tartar and an Arugula Salad.  Jeff had some Chicken dish.  After-wards we went out to a couple of bars (the names of which I can not recall) and ended up back in our room at around 3am.  This impressed me as it was only a Tuesday night-I did not have high expectations.  Regardless we had fun.

An interesting side note: Nestled within our rooms snacks and drinks is a bottle of Oxia Personal Oxygen (take note Culture Junkie as this is something you should write about).  Their website touts that it is the world smallest personal oxygen dispenser.  It stands less the 8 inches high and weighs less then a pound.  The dispenser contains 6 gallons of pressurized oxygen.  Needless to say, we broke this out this AM to assist with dispensing our slight hangovers 😉  .  I have to say, I think it helped.  I also admit that this is more likely a placebo effect-but who cares!
