Montréal Day #2

Our second day in Montréal got off to a rather late start due to how late both Jeff and I got to bed in the AM.  I think we rallied by 11:30am to hit breakfast.  Our venue of choice was a place called Eggspectation-as you can gather by them name, they specialize in eggs.

After feasting we headed out to do some shopping  (this sounds so pathetically metro I am considering striking it from this post).  On our way to St. Catherine’s St. I ended up feeling very nauseated.  This was a bit of a roll reversal with Jeff as he woke up very hung over and I woke feeling great.  Not sure what that was all about.  It seemed to go away when we grabbed drinks later in the evening.

I ended up with some excellent buys (gotta love Canada!).  I bought a sweater from Tristan & America, a couple pairs of shoes (FX & lecoq sportiff), and a very cool jacket by Orvieto.

We headed back to the W Hotel around 5:30pm.  Jeff had to do about an hour of work on my laptop.  I napped.  We then hit Wunderbar, a very hip little lounge located in the Hotel.  To our pleasant surprise, Wednesday nights was its "big night".  We ended up meeting a lot of very interesting people here.  Shout outs go to the Andrika Lawren (host of Much Music’s Much In Your Space & HGTV’s Home to Go & My Parents’ House), Andrika Boshyk, the lads from NYC,  StevieB (owner of Time Supperclub), Jessica and Lindsay.

We did break up our time at Wunderbar with  dinner at Restaurant Ginger.  "4 Thumbs Up" for this place!  Great menu of Asian Fusion dishes (we selected Sushi) and great service.  I urge anyone making a trip to Montréal to eat here.

Jeff and I did talk about spending an additional night and hitting the ski slopes on Thursday AM.  However, a rather large ice storm hit the region so we decided to pack up and head back to Boston.
