Campton, NH Weekend Get Away

Dsc02210_1 This weekend I traveled to Campton, NH to hang with my bud Jason (who owns a condo there) and his friend James.  All in all it was a pretty chill time.  We hung in on Friday and watched The 40 year Old Virgin.  Great Flick!

Saturday afternoon we hiked the Old Bridal Path to West Rattlesnake on Squam Lake.   Located off Rte. 133 between Holderness and Center Sandwich, it was a 1.8 mile hike round trip with a modest 400 ft. Climb.  The payoff (as you can tell from the photo above) was peaking Rattlesnake Mountain, which has amazing views of Squam Lake and Lake Winnipesaukee.   The best part of this hike (beyond the view) was that Howie came with.  Although we had to take a couple of rest breaks, he had no problem keeping up and seemed to really enjoy being outside.  I have to say I am really proud of the little guy.   The decent was a little wet as we found ourselves underneath some rainclouds that quickly blew in.  I posted photos of the adventure here.

Saturday night we closed out a local bar and we spent Sunday afternoon watching King Kong.  After grabbing dinner at the Purple Cow, we all (begrudgingly) headed back to Boston.
