I depart Rome this Sunday (May 7th) to Florence (via Train). From there, I am going to rendezvous with a ride that will take me to my first accommodations in Tuscany, the Casanova Hotel (Note-This links to a German Site. The one in English is beat).
Arranged by National Geographic Expeditions, who is hosting the Photography Workshop that I am attending for the next week (May 7th-13th), the Hotel is only a short walking distance from the medieval town of San Quirico, the Casanova Hotel Residence offers a spectacular panorama of the Orcia Valley, encircled by three medieval towns of Pienza, Radicofoni and Montalcino.
At the end of the workshop, I am traveling back to Florence and plan to stay from May 13th-15th. I have booked a room at JK Place (I KNOW, I KNOW…you cant get more narcissistic then that). I found this property initially via Tablet Hotels. Since then, it has been brought to my attention that it is rated as one of the best boutique hotels in Italy…but I expect that from anything listed in Tablet 😉
