The week of June 22nd 2009 had something to show for itself, even if it seemed that pop stars, models, and annoying ad guys are dropping like flies. The U.S. Men’s National Team earned a best-ever finish in a FIFA Competition with a second place performance at 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup. To that end, this video is for you! GOOD LADS!

Truth in 24

As we approach the start of The 24 hours of Le Mans (arguably the toughest, most famous race in the world), I thought it was appropriate to bring to everyone’s attention to an amazing documentary called  Truth in 24. It is the story of the 2008 race as seen from the pits of team Audi. The four-ringed automaker commissioned the visual masters at NFL Films to produce the documentary, and the resulting film is a must-see for anyone even remotely interested in racing.  You may download the entire documentary for free from iTunes.

Gratz to the Celtics

Good job lads!  You hung on, even after blowing that 20 POINT LEAD! My fav player of last nights game most def is Leon Powe.  The Celtics’ second-year power forward, scored 21 points in
15 minutes off the bench, pushing his team to a 108-102 victory over
the Lakers in Game 2 of the NBA Finals. Powe nailed six of seven shots
from the low post and garnered 13 free throws from his repeated
assaults upon the basket.

Now win at least one on the road and we are golden.

P.S.  To the LA Lakers….do not get my wrong.  I LOVE YOUR CITY.  Indeed, hope to move there soon.  When I do, I imagine that I will be on the other side of this fence.  (I am only saying this to piss my brother off).

My bro Ian introduced me to his  "Fitzy’s Wicked Pissah Webcast" via TownieNews.com and I find him to be a complete RIOT!  Fitzy is a perfect embodiment of a fanatic "Masshole" sports nut!  This city would be crazy to support anyone else!

Bogey Golf

I thought about giving this post the title of "Bogus Golf" as that really defines my game (if you can even call it that).  In the end, I stuck with Bogey Golf as that is what my foursome today yielded while playing at the 16th Annual Community House Classic Golf Tournament.  That score was derived from playing a "best ball" format.

Four from my firm (including Moi) was invited by Yahoo! to team with them at this fund raising event where they were a major sponsor.  The tournament was located at the prestigious Myopia Hunt Club in South Hamilton, MA.

Quote of the day goes to my colleague and friend Greg Slama.  When asked if he had a handicap, his reply was simply "Plates".  ROTFLMAO!

P.S. The photo in this post is credited to Christian Gaul.  I had one of me originally, but the crap camera on my Motorola Q over-saturated the pic and it looked as if I had pink pants on (thanks for pointing that out Meredith!  LOL).  I think the one above is much cooler  anyways.
