FINALLY!  Jason and I closed today on his condo in Campton, NH.  We had reached an agreement at the end of last July for me to take over Chalet Russo, which I plan to use as a weekend getaway home.  There were some unfortunate delays in the acquisition (all my fault) which kept this from happening in the November/December time frame.  Regardless, its done and I can not be more excited.  Personal shout out goes to my attorney JTB for wrapping up the final details!

The house warming party will begin promptly at 4:50pm tomorrow.  Thats when my Cuz Carmen arrives from LA.  Once I pick her up from Logan, we (including Howdizzle) plan to drive directly to Campton.  My buddy Graham (from Whistler fame) and his gal are flying into Manchester, NH from NYC later in the evening and will rendezvous with us around midnight.  Also, since its Mrs. Russo’s B-Day this weekend, the entire Russo clan will be present in his sister’s adjoining condo.  We all plan to party and ski thrue Sunday.  Stay tuned for posts and pics.

Chalet Russo to become Chalet Karnell

This week, my friend Jason Russo and I came to an agreement around my offer to buy his condo, located in Campton, NH.  The condo is near popular ski resorts at Waterville Valley and Loon Mountain and sits on 1800 feet of river frontage on the Pemigewasset River (say that five times fast) with spectacular views of Welch and Dickey Mountains.

The property contains four bedrooms (including loft), 2 remoldeled bathrooms, a new kitchen, cathedral ceilings in the family room, and new hardwood floors throughout.  We are currently scheduled to close in the first week of September (perfect timing for fall foliage).  I cant tell you how excited I am to finally have a weekend getaway and someplace that will serve as a great launch pad for skiing, hiking, and camping excursions.  Below are some photos of the unit.
