Wheeling, a Wedding, & Golf

This past Friday, I traveled to Wheeling, WV to attend my cousin Stacy’s wedding to her bo Nick.  I have been staying in Wilson Lodge at the Oglebay Park Resort and I am scheduled to return to Boston today.  My Father Mike, Step Mother Lucy, Aunt Judy, and my Cousins Paul and Carmen all joined me.  The ceremony was beautiful and the reception a blast.

This was my second and (hopefully) last wedding of the year.  I have found that these events put me in a slight melancholy mood. Being single at 35 is an awkward feeling for me to begin with…throw in a wedding and a bunch of children running around and…well you get the idea.    This is probably a little more personal then I need to get on my Blog so I will end this paragraph now.

I have found a new love for Golf on this trip.  My Father and I played 18 holes of Par 3 golf and I enjoyed it thoroughly!  I know, I know….it was only Par 3.  I do need to spend some time on longer play courses.  However, I have never once finished a round of golf in the past (beyond Putt-Putt) where I felt a genuine interest to play the game again.  This indeed is a turning point.
